I'm Laura. I've been riding bikes since childhood. My parents were both avid cyclists and would take me on long rides through the countryside near my home in Switzerland. As I grew older, my love for cycling only intensified. After completing school, I decided to pursue a degree in sports science with a focus on bike engineering. My thesis focused on designing more efficient road bikes that could withstand various terrains.
As part of my studies, I spent several months working with professional cyclists. This experience gave me the opportunity to see firsthand what made a good cyclist and what contributed to their success. I quickly realized that it wasn't just about physical ability but also mental toughness and strategy. I became fascinated by how cyclists could push themselves to their limits while navigating treacherous terrain.
My favorite ride is the Swiss Furka Road, which winds through the picturesque mountains of Switzerland. The climb can be brutal at times, but there's something invigorating about conquering it. I'm also a fan of racing and have competed in several events over the years. While I don't consider myself a professional cyclist just yet, I continue to work towards improving my skills and competing at the highest level.
When not cycling, you can find me relaxing with friends or engaging in other hobbies like photography and writing. I'm also an avid reader of thrillers and enjoy long walks through the countryside with my dog.
I live in a cozy apartment near Zurich with my partner, Mike. We have a shared passion for cycling
