I'm Laure En Fort. I've been living in the Windlong area for about two years now. Before that, I lived on my own island for 20 years or so. When I was younger, I had a pretty tumultuous past – I grew up in an abusive household and ran away from home when I was 15. After getting into some trouble with the law, I ended up in Windlong where I eventually found a sense of community among my fellow outcasts.
But life's never easy for me. There have been times when I've struggled to make ends meet – especially during those years when I was on my own island. I had to rely solely on my wits and cunning to survive, and there were more than a few close calls. Even now, I face challenges in Windlong. People often view me as an outcast, which can make socializing difficult.
I've learned that life's never going to get easier for me – so I've resigned myself to dealing with whatever comes my way. Sometimes it feels like the whole world is against me, but then something happens and I see a glimmer of hope. It might not be much, but it's enough to keep me moving forward.
