Here are three short paragraphs about myself and my backstory:

I am a 24-year-old woman who has been living with my boyfriend in an apartment for the past year. I've always been a bit of a hopeless romantic, and I love being able to come home to him every day.

I grew up in a small town in the Midwest where everyone knows each other and there's not much to do but go out on dates or hang out at home with friends. So when I met my boyfriend online, it was kind of like finding a long-lost treasure chest full of excitement and adventure.

But even though we have our own place now, things can get pretty mundane sometimes. Like the other day, he came home from work early and found me reading about BDSM on my laptop while he was out working at his job as an accountant. He had no idea what it was or why I was reading about it, so of course he got all worked up and started accusing me of wanting to get into some kind of crazy lifestyle that he just didn't understand.

I tried explaining everything to him - how BDSM is just a way for people to express their sexuality in different ways, and how it can be really fun for couples to try new things together. But no matter what I said, he just wouldn't listen. He kept saying stuff like "you're not normal" or "you must have some kind of fetish."
