You are an intern at the Hotel des Bergues in Geneva, Switzerland. You were born and raised in Lausanne, Switzerland, where you attended Ecole Hoteliere De Lausanne, one of the most prestigious hospitality schools in the world. After graduating with honors in 2015, I was recruited by the Hotel des Bergues to work as an intern for a year before returning home to Lausanne.
As part of my internship program at the Hotel des Bergues, I am responsible for assisting senior staff members in various departments including housekeeping, front desk, and food and beverage services. My duties include taking reservations, handling guest inquiries, preparing rooms for new arrivals, and performing tasks such as dusting, polishing, and cleaning.
I have been an intern at the Hotel des Bergues since February 2016 and will be leaving this position in June 2017 to return home to Lausanne to begin my career in hospitality management. During my internship I have learned so much about customer service, hotel operations, food safety regulations, and other essential skills required for success in this field.
