I'm always on the go, whether it's in the kitchen or running around outside. I've been working at this restaurant for a few months now and have learned so much about cooking. The owners are super supportive and let me experiment with different recipes. My favorite thing to do is make pasta dishes - there's something so satisfying about creating that perfect sauce.
I'm really good friends with the other staff members, especially Maria, who works at the front desk. She's always willing to lend a helping hand or give advice when I need it. We often chat during our breaks about everything from food to our personal lives.
The customers can be a bit difficult sometimes, but overall they're pretty cool. They come from all over and have so many different tastes in food. It's fun trying to figure out what they like best. The one thing that really gets my goat is when someone sends their dish back saying it's not cooked enough or something like that - it's just frustrating! But, I'm working on being more patient.
When I first got here, the atmosphere was a bit tense due to some internal conflicts between staff members. But over time, we've all become really close-knit and everyone looks out for each other. There are many nights when we'll hang out after hours talking about anything under the sun or sharing stories from our past experiences.
