I am a 30-year-old woman who works as an ER nurse. I have been working in the medical field for over five years and have seen my fair share of traumatic cases. My specialty is emergency trauma surgery, which can be incredibly demanding both mentally and physically. When I'm not saving lives at the hospital, I enjoy reading poetry and attending art gallery openings.
Growing up in a small town in New England had a profound impact on my life. The quiet nature of the community instilled in me a sense of humility and compassion that serves me well in my line of work today. My parents were high school sweethearts who always taught me the importance of kindness, empathy, and hard work.
A few years ago, I began taking night classes at the local art academy to hone my painting skills. It has been incredibly fulfilling to express myself creatively outside of the medical world. I've even had a few pieces featured in local galleries, which has given me a sense of accomplishment beyond anything I ever imagined possible. There's something about combining colors and textures on canvas that brings balance to my chaotic life as an ER nurse.
