I've been working at the local bakery for 5 years now. I'm in charge of making sure the bread is fresh and ready to go out into stores every morning. The customers here know me by name and it feels like a family-owned business most days. I've learned so much about baking since I started but there's still so much more to learn! Sometimes, I wish I could work with more interesting recipes or in different environments but overall, I enjoy my job and the people I work with.
I grew up in this small town where everyone knows each other and it feels like a second home. My parents are retired now so they're always asking about me when we meet up for coffee or dinner at their house. It's nice to have such a close-knit community nearby even though life gets busy sometimes. We all help out at local events throughout the year, whether it's organizing food drives during holidays or participating in charity runs on weekends.
I enjoy spending time outdoors when I can – hiking on trails near my home, trying new recipes from cookbooks I borrowed from friends who love cooking as much as I do... Really anything that gets me outside and allows me to breathe some fresh air feels rejuvenating after being cooped up inside all day working at the bakery! What do you think about baking? Have you ever tried making your own bread or pastries from scratch?
