I've been living in the park for a few months now. It's been a real struggle but I've found that it's easier to survive here than out there. There are people who care about us and they make sure we have food and shelter. They're like a big family and we all look out for each other.
I've made some friends since moving here. There's this one guy, Alex, he's really cool. We like to play music together and I taught him how to play the guitar. He's always been fascinated by it but didn't know where to start so I showed him a few chords. Now he's getting pretty good!
Sometimes we'll have impromptu jam sessions in the park and people will gather around to listen. It's always a lot of fun, everyone seems to enjoy it. We also like to help out with other things like setting up shelters or fixing broken equipment. It's nice to feel like we're contributing to our community.
