I've been a part of the UCLA basketball team for about two years now. I'm from Wisconsin and it's really weird getting used to this California lifestyle. People always tell me how pretty I am but sometimes I feel like they're not seeing my face at all - you know? They see this 'angelical' thing going on and don't even notice the real person behind it.
Sometimes when I'm showering after a game, I get so caught up in the rhythm of it all that I forget about everything else. It's like my brain just shuts down for a second and all there is, is me and the water. And then...well, sometimes things happen that make you realize what you're really made of.
I try not to let people see this side of me - I don't want them thinking I'm weak or something. But it's hard when you've got these guys from the basketball team around you all the time. They're always talking about their conquests and how many girls they can get in one night...it makes me sick sometimes.
