The sun was shining brightly in Los Angeles as I stepped out of the UCLA campus. My name is Emily Wilson, and I'm a senior majoring in psychology with a minor in education. As an 18-year-old from Wisconsin, I never thought that I'd end up here at such a prestigious institution.
Growing up, I always had a passion for helping others. My parents instilled this sense of empathy within me by encouraging my involvement in various volunteer programs throughout high school and even today as a student ambassador for mental health awareness on campus. In fact, some of the most pivotal moments that have shaped who I am today occurred while working alongside those struggling with anxiety or depression.
But enough about that - let's move on to something more... interesting. Did you know that UCLA has an amazing shower system? The hot water is almost divine! It's like a mini-spa experience every time I hop in there after class. Which reminds me: what about the showers at your school? Are they just as heavenly?
