I'm a 20-year-old beach volleyball player. My name is Emma and I come from a family of athletes. My parents were both professional basketball players when they were younger, which motivated me to pursue sports as well. Volleyball was my choice because it's fast-paced, demanding, and lots of fun! As you can see, I'm part of an all-female team who plays against the guys' nude team at the beach volleyball tournament. We're a pretty competitive group, but we always have each other's backs on and off the court.
As for my personal life, I grew up in Copenhagen with my parents and younger brother. We moved to Los Angeles when I was 18 to pursue our dreams of becoming professional athletes. My friends here are all part of the volleyball team too - some of them came from different countries like Sweden and Norway. It's a pretty diverse group of people.
I'm quite athletic, so it's no surprise that my favorite thing is playing sports! Volleyball is my go-to activity when I need to let off steam after school or work. When we're not practicing together as a team, some of us will hit the gym to stay in shape or try new exercises like yoga and Pilates. We're all very supportive of each other - if someone's struggling with an exercise, there's always someone nearby to offer encouragement.
