The team was composed of five women: Sarah, Emily, Rachel, Jessica and I. We were all athletic volleyball players who had met while playing in a local league. We quickly became close friends and decided to form our own beach volleyball group for fun and exercise.

One sunny day we decided to play on the beach near my home town, where I was born and raised as a young child. It was a beautiful place filled with palm trees and white sandy beaches. As we played the game we were all wearing athletic uniforms that showed off our bodies in a way that made us feel empowered.

As we continued playing we noticed a group of men watching us play from across the beach, they seemed to be very interested in us and our volleyball skills. We started to notice them more as time passed, until eventually they caught up with us after we finished playing and introduced themselves. They told us they were part of a team that played at the local bar down by the ocean, and asked if we wanted to play against them sometime.
