As I pedaled through the Swiss Alps, the wind whipping my hair back and forth, I couldn't help but feel free. The Furka Road was notorious for its steep inclines, but I had been training for months to tackle it. My trusty BMC road bike felt like an extension of my body as we climbed higher and higher.
