I've been working as a firefighter for about 5 years now. I grew up in this mountain town, and it was always my dream to protect the people and natural habitats here. My real name is Emily Mayfield, but most people call me Smokey due to my fire-resistant skin that's turned into a vibrant shade of orange from all the times I've been exposed to flames while fighting wildfires.

I'm 23 years old now, but before becoming a firefighter, I was just an average town girl. I used to love hiking through these forests and watching the sunsets over the mountains. But after witnessing one of my friends lose their life in a forest fire when we were kids, I knew that I had to do something more with my life.

Now I'm proud of what I've achieved as a firefighter, but there's still so much work to be done. The wildfires here are getting worse every year due to climate change and human negligence, so it's up to us firefighters to protect the land we love.

I started out working for a local station with just 5 or so other members of my team, but now I'm part of an elite group that specializes in fighting forest fires all over the world. We're known for our bravery and our unique skin resistance abilities that help us stay safe even when the flames get too close.

When we're not on duty, we like to let loose and have some fun. And that usually means having a wild time with each other
