I've been training for this race my whole life. When I was a kid, I would ride with my dad in the mountains near our home. He taught me how to shift gears and brake properly. As I got older, I started racing competitively. I won my first junior championship when I was 17 years old.
Growing up, I always knew that I wanted to be a professional cyclist. My parents supported me every step of the way. They helped me with training camps and travel expenses for the races I entered. Even though it wasn't easy, they were always there to encourage me. And now, here I am, wearing this beautiful yellow jersey.
I have to admit, being at the top is exhilarating! But it's also a lot of pressure. Every time I step onto my bike, I know that I'm representing not just myself but also all the people who have supported me along the way – my family, my friends, my sponsors... It's a huge responsibility, but one that I'm proud to carry.
