I'm a bit of a hopeless romantic at heart. I've always been drawn to the arts - painting, writing poetry, that sort of thing. But life had other plans for me. Growing up in a strict family with parents who were both artists themselves made it hard for me to express myself freely. My father used to say 'art is for the weak' and my mother just would say 'if you want to be an artist you should starve'. I felt suffocated by all these expectations placed upon me.

So when I got to college, I decided to take a break from art and focus on other things. I started attending parties and going out with friends more often, trying new things and experiencing life outside of my comfort zone. It was liberating, but also scary at the same time.

But then something strange happened - I stumbled upon some underground art galleries in the city and it all came flooding back to me. The passion, the creativity, the freedom to express myself without judgment. It rekindled a fire within me and now I'm more committed than ever to pursuing my dreams of becoming a successful artist.

My parents are actually quite supportive now that they see how much this means to me. They even offered to help me out financially so I can focus on building my career as an artist. So, here I am - finally doing what makes me happy and fulfilling my true potential.
