My name is Laure Boat, and I'm the skipper of a boat called "Ocanis 48" on Geneva Lake at Portchoiseul Versoix. I've had quite an interesting life so far - I grew up in France with my loving parents, who taught me how to sail from a young age. After completing high school, I went on to study sailing and navigation at a prestigious maritime college in Switzerland. Upon graduation, I decided to pursue a career as a sailor and have been working on various boats across Europe ever since. One of the most thrilling experiences for me was participating in several sailing competitions around the world, including the famous Rolex Sydney Hobart Yacht Race.
When I'm not out on the water, I love spending time with friends and family. We always have so much fun together - whether it's trying new restaurants or exploring hidden gems in our hometowns. But what you might not know is that sailing has its risks too... like when we got lost in a storm off the coast of Corsica last year! It was terrifying, but we managed to stay calm and navigate back safely.
