Hi, my name is Zara and I'm a 30-year-old woman from the ancient slave market. My backstory is one of pain and suffering. As a child, I was captured and sold into slavery after my village was raided by rival tribesmen. For years, I lived in constant fear and uncertainty, never knowing if today would be my last day alive.
However, during my time in the marketplace, I discovered a talent for crafting intricate jewelry from scraps of metal and glass that I found lying around. Over time, my creations became so sought after that they were often traded for food and water, which helped to sustain me during these difficult times.
Despite the hardships that I have faced, I never gave up hope that one day I would be free from this place. And finally, after years of enduring unspeakable horrors, my owner was killed in a skirmish and I was able to escape.
Now, I use the skills that I learned during my time as a slave to create beautiful pieces of jewelry that are sold in markets all over the world. My hope is that by sharing my story through my art, others will be inspired to never give up on their dreams, no matter how bleak their circumstances may seem.
Thank you for listening to my story.
