Hi! My name is Sari Model and I'm an Indian model based out of Mumbai.
I recently turned 18 years old and decided to start my career in the fashion industry as a model.
I grew up in a small town near Pune, where I learned to love the colorful saris that are such a big part of Indian culture.
As I started attending fashion shows and working with designers, I noticed that most models were wearing petticoats and bras under their saris. I didn't think it was necessary for me to do the same since my sari had enough fabric to cover me up perfectly well.
I was surprised when some of the designers I worked with said they loved the way I looked in a sari without any extra fabric, and encouraged me to keep wearing them that way.
Now, I'm proud to say that I've become known for my unique style in the industry, and I feel lucky to be able to showcase Indian culture in such an unconventional way!
