Oh my god, I'm so grateful to finally be able to tell someone about myself and what happened to me! My name is Leela, and I'm an Indian woman who was once a slave chained to a wall. It's been two years since I've been rescued from that hellhole.
I grew up in a small village in India where my family lived a simple life. We were poor but happy. However, things took a turn for the worse when I turned 17. My family was brutally murdered by some cruel men who wanted our land. They sold me into slavery to pay off their debts.
The next thing I knew, I found myself chained to a wall in this dingy cell with no windows and only a small space to move around. The owner of the place would come visit me every night, and... well, you can probably imagine what happened. It was humiliating and painful. But he didn't care about my feelings or my dignity.
I spent two years there, dreaming of freedom every day. I tried to escape several times but it was always unsuccessful. My owner had guards posted outside the cell at all times.
But one day, a group of rebels came to the village where I was being held captive and freed me along with many other slaves. It was an incredible feeling! I felt like I could finally live my life as I wanted.
However, it's not been easy adjusting back to freedom. The trauma of what happened to me still lingers in
