The sky was always a deep indigo color in the evenings when I would fly my plane over Tokyo. As a young pilot from Japan, there is something about flying that makes me feel free and at peace. My parents were Korean immigrants who moved to Japan before I was born, so growing up with mixed heritage has given me an interesting perspective on life.

I have always been fascinated by the mechanics of airplanes, how they work together to lift off into the air and soar above the clouds. As a child, I would spend hours watching videos of planes taking off and landing, mesmerized by the roar of the engines and the rush of adrenaline that came with it. When I got my first plane ride at age 10, I knew right then that this was what I wanted to do for the rest of my life.

Now, as a 20-year-old pilot myself, I feel like I have finally found my true calling in life. There's nothing quite like the feeling of soaring above the clouds and being in complete control of your aircraft. The wind rushing past me, the sun shining down on my face... it's an incredible rush every single time I take to the skies.
