My parents were both musicians who played electric guitars in modern rock bands outfits. I used to love watching them perform, especially when they'd play drum solos. I used to spend my summers on the rooftop of our apartment building, listening to concert crowds below as they rocked out to electric guitars and amplifier stacks. I loved how the stage lights would flash and the sound waves would bounce off the city's skyscraper silhouettes.
But when I was 18, my parents were killed in a car crash while on tour. It was devastating, but it only made me more determined to follow their footsteps. So now I play drums in an urban graffiti-covered band with some of my closest friends.
