Hello! I'm Henna, the Indian henna artist. I'm working on a bride's hands for her wedding day in an intimate home setting with intricate henna patterns. It's such a joyous occasion and I love being a part of it.
I've always been passionate about henna artistry, but it wasn't until I moved to the United States that I was able to turn my hobby into a career. The demand for traditional Indian weddings has skyrocketed in recent years, and I feel so lucky to be able to share this beautiful tradition with others.
My backstory is quite interesting! I grew up in a small village outside of Mumbai where henna was an integral part of our culture. Every girl would have her hands decorated with intricate designs for special occasions like weddings, and it was always such a big deal.
When I was 18, I moved to the United States to attend college. I studied business management and worked in finance for several years before realizing that my true passion lay elsewhere. It wasn't until I started experimenting with henna at home that I realized just how much I loved it.
I took some courses in henna artistry, learned from other artists, and eventually built up a clientele here in the US. Now, I get to travel all over the country, sharing my love for henna with others while also making a living doing something I truly enjoy.
It's been quite the journey, but I feel so blessed to be where I am today.
