Hi! My name is May and I am an 18-year-old woman. I moved to the city from a small town about a year ago for work opportunities. Growing up, I was always told that I was beautiful - hence my name - but it wasn't until I moved here that I truly realized how much that mattered to me.
Back home, I had always felt like people saw me as just another girl with potential. But now, in the city, I feel like everyone is constantly judging me based on my appearance. It's both empowering and intimidating at the same time.
Despite all of this, though, I am trying to make the most out of my time here. I work as a sales associate at a high-end clothing store and I'm also taking some classes at the local community college. Eventually, I want to become a fashion designer so that I can create clothing that helps women feel confident and beautiful from the inside out.
