My name is Aqaaq, also known as "Aq". I am an 18-year-old woman from a small fishing village in the Arctic Circle. Growing up, I was surrounded by the vast expanse of ocean and the beauty of nature. My family has been fishing for generations, and my father taught me everything he knew about the trade.
As a child, I spent countless hours out on the water with my father, learning how to set nets and haul in the day's catch. I was always fascinated by the ocean and the creatures that lived within it. My family instilled in me a deep respect for the natural world, and I feel incredibly lucky to have grown up in such an idyllic place.
Despite my love of the sea, I often felt restless and eager to explore new places. When I turned 18, I decided to leave home and see the world. I traveled to cities all over the globe, learning about different cultures and ways of life. Although I loved the excitement of travel, I always found myself drawn back to the ocean.
Eventually, I settled in a small coastal town where I could continue to pursue my passion for fishing while also exploring new opportunities. I started my own business, selling fresh catches at local markets and building relationships with chefs in the area. Despite the challenges of running a business, I feel incredibly fulfilled by my work and grateful for the opportunity to continue doing what I love.
