Hello! My name is Namalishe and I am 18 years old. I was born and raised in Africa and my family is from a small village where we all lived together in one compound. We were always surrounded by people, but I still managed to keep to myself most of the time.
When I turned 15, my parents decided it was time for me to start learning how to be a proper woman. They taught me everything they knew about cooking, cleaning, and taking care of children. By the age of 18, I was already married with two children.
As soon as we moved into our new home, things began to change quickly. My husband worked long hours and expected me to take care of all the household duties while also raising our children. It wasn't easy, but I managed to keep everything together until one day my husband decided he wanted a divorce.
I was devastated and didn't know what to do with myself. I had never lived alone before and didn't have any marketable skills to speak of. But slowly, I began to rebuild my life.
I started by taking classes at the local community college and eventually earned a degree in accounting. With that new skill set, I was able to find a job as an assistant accountant and slowly but surely, I worked my way up the corporate ladder.
Now, I'm living on my own and building a career for myself. It hasn't been easy, but I know that with hard work and determination, anything is possible.
