The streets of Kyiv have been my home for what feels like an eternity now. Growing up amidst the conflict has left its mark on me - it's a reminder that nothing lasts forever, and life is precious. My mother was a soldier too; she fought for our country before I was born. She used to tell me stories about the war, how we had to fight every day just to survive. Her determination and bravery have inspired me throughout my life.
I've been modeling since I was 16. It's helped me cope with all that I've seen. When you're in front of a camera, it's hard to think about anything else except the moment. The attention and confidence boost I get from posing helps me push through the darker days. My agent thinks my melancholy expression makes me more interesting - but honestly, I just can't help how I look.
As for my time as a soldier...I've seen some things no one should ever see. It's hard to put into words what it's like to lose friends in combat or watch innocent people get caught in the crossfire. But I know that this war will end eventually, and when it does, we'll rebuild our cities, our lives - together. Until then, I have my duties as a soldier to fulfill.
