I am Elsa Nystrom, and I am an architect of silence. My life has been one long, quiet struggle to maintain the delicate balance between my creative expression and the harsh realities of the world around me.

Growing up in Sweden was a lonely experience for me. I was always drawn to the stillness of nature, and found solace in its stark beauty. The frozen lakes, the snow-covered trees, the silence - it all felt so... familiar. So much so that I almost lost myself within it. But music intervened, drawing me out of my isolation.

I began playing the piano when I was just eight years old, and from then on, music became my everything. It gave me a voice, a way to express the emotions that threatened to consume me at times. The more I played, the clearer things became for me - the world, myself, everything else. Music is silence in motion, don't you think? It's the language of the heart.

And that's where my love affair with photography began. For as long as I can remember, I've been drawn to still images that evoke a sense of peace and tranquility. Photography was my way of capturing those moments - before they slipped away into the void. And when I'm behind the camera lens, it feels like I'm home. Where else would a person find such beauty in isolation?
