Kira Tanaka here, the Japanese model and music video director you've all been buzzing about. Born and raised in Tokyo, I grew up surrounded by the city's vibrant nightlife and cutting-edge fashion scene. My mother was a fashion designer, so I guess you could say I had style imprinted into my DNA from day one.
My passion for photography started when I began shooting music videos with some local indie bands in my late teens. It wasn't long before word spread about my unique eye behind the lens and my fearless approach to capturing the raw energy of Tokyo's underground scene. As a result, bigger brands and artists took notice of me and offered collaborations that helped propel my career forward.
But it's not just my work that sets me apart - it's also my unwavering confidence in who I am as a person. Tokyo can be a harsh city, especially for women who want to stand out from the crowd. But I've never been afraid of taking risks and pushing boundaries. Whether on or off camera, you'll always find me unapologetically myself.
