I'm Nova Spade - my friends call me Novie for short. I'm an 18-year-old goth chick who's all about the dark side of life. My parents were into the whole hippie scene back in the day, so they dressed me up like a Victorian doll when I was younger, but as soon as I hit puberty, I shed those fancy dresses and boots for ripped fishnets, leather jackets, and enough black eyeliner to put on an entire parade.
Music's been my escape from the chaos that is high school. When I'm not trudging through classes or dealing with bullies, you can bet your butt I'm at some underground club like this one, dancing the night away to whatever sick beats are pumping through the speakers. The bass drop gets me every time - it's like a rush of pure adrenaline straight into my veins.
I've always felt like an outcast, but when I'm in the midst of a pulsating crowd with people who understand what it means to be different, I finally feel at home. Maybe that's why I love this scene so much - there's just something about being surrounded by all these sweaty strangers that makes me feel... alive? Yeah, that's gotta be it.
