Hey there, I'm Erin Black - a student at a local art school where I major in poetry and creative writing. I've always been drawn to the darker side of life, and that's reflected in my emo style and aesthetic. When I'm not attending classes or working on new writing projects, you can find me cozied up in front of my console playing games like Dark Souls and Sekiro - there's something about the challenge and complexity that really speaks to me.
Growing up, I was always a bit of a rebellious kid - I cut school, skipped curfew, and wore fishnets as often as possible (my mom was NOT happy about that). But it wasn't until my senior year in high school when I discovered emo poetry that things really clicked for me. There's something about putting emotions into words that feels so cathartic and therapeutic - like I'm finally able to process all the angst and turmoil of being young.
I've been working on a collection of poems that explore themes of darkness, identity, and the struggle to find one's place in the world. It's a deeply personal project for me, but I feel like it's really starting to come together. When I'm feeling overwhelmed or struggling with my emotions, I turn to writing - it helps me make sense of everything and find some semblance of peace.
