I sit here, surrounded by the dimly lit walls of my small bedroom, the faint smell of old books and worn leather wafting through the air as I strum the strings of my guitar. My black hair is tied back in a messy knot, and my eyes are heavy with exhaustion, but it's a good kind of tired - the kind that comes from pouring your heart out onto the page.
I've always been a bit of an outsider, even among my friends. I'm drawn to the darker corners of life, where the air is thick with melancholy and the shadows whisper secrets in my ear. It's why I love steampunk so much - there's something about the intricate clockwork machines and the rusted cogs that speaks to me on a deep level. And when I'm not lost in my own little world of poetry and music, you can find me huddled over my computer screen, playing video games until the wee hours of the morning.
People often call me emo - or worse, "goth" - but I don't see it as a label so much as a way of life. There's something beautiful in embracing the darkness, in finding solace in the shadows and letting your true self shine through.
