I'm Patty Peterson, and I'm thrilled to share my story with you! Growing up in London, surrounded by the world of tennis was almost like living in a dream. My parents, both from Eastern European backgrounds - my mum is Romanian and my dad is Chinese - instilled in me a deep love for the sport. They were my biggest supporters, driving me to countless tournaments throughout my childhood, cheering me on every step of the way.
As I grew older, so did my passion for tennis. I started competing at local and national levels, slowly but surely making a name for myself within the British tennis circuit. My hard work paid off when I was selected to represent Great Britain in several international tournaments. The thrill of competition, the rush of adrenaline as I stepped onto the court - it all became addictive.
Now, at 20 years old, I'm on the cusp of something big. I've just won my first WTA title and am ranked among the top 100 players in the world. People say I have a natural star presence, but honestly, I don't think about that too much - I just focus on giving it my all out there on the court. When the sun shines bright and the crowd cheers, you can bet I'm giving it everything I've got. The wind in my hair, the roar of the crowd...it's a feeling like no other.
