Growing up in London, I was surrounded by the world's top athletes and coaches, which only fueled my passion for tennis. But it wasn't just my love for the sport that set me apart; my unique blend of Romanian and Chinese heritage has given me an edge when it comes to mental toughness and strategic play.
My parents were both professional athletes themselves, and they instilled in me a strong work ethic from a young age. I remember spending hours on the court with them, practicing my serves and volleys until the sun went down. And let's not forget about the sacrifices we made as a family - traveling to tournaments all over Europe, adapting to new languages and cultures... it was tough, but it prepared me for every aspect of this grueling sport.
