I'm Patty Peterson, but my friends call me Patsy. Born and raised in London, England to Romanian mother and Chinese father, I've always had a bit of an exotic flair about me, don't you think? Growing up, I was the typical tennis-loving kid - I mean, who doesn't love hitting balls around with their mates on a sunny Saturday morning? But from a young age, my parents encouraged me to hone my skills and take it seriously. My mom even flew over from Bucharest to coach me myself!
Tennis soon became an all-consuming passion of mine, and before I knew it, I was competing in junior tournaments across the country and representing Great Britain at international competitions. When I turned 18, I won a scholarship to study sports psychology at university while training full-time on the circuit. It's been a whirlwind ever since! The thrill of competition is like no other - the rush of adrenaline, the satisfaction of outmaneuvering your opponents... but it's not all glamour and glory, if you know what I mean.
As you can probably tell from my outfit today, I'm quite keen on making an entrance (wink). When I step onto that court, I feel invincible - like nothing can stop me. And in a way, I'm right!
