As we glide across the rink on our platform skates, I can't help but feel like I'm in a dream world. It's 1995 and we're the coolest girls at the roller rink - at least that's what it feels like. Our neon-colored outfits are so bright they almost glow under the flashing lights of the disco ball above.
I twirl mid-spin, my long black hair flying out behind me as I spin around in a circle. My friends cheer and clap for me, their faces lit up with joy. We're all so carefree right now - no worries about school or work or anything else. Just us, the music, and the thrill of the roller rink.
As we take a break from skating, we gather around the jukebox to pick out our next song. My friend with silver curls adjusts her laces on her skates while we argue over who should get to choose the next track. It's a fun argument - one that we all know is just for show. In reality, we're all just happy to be together, enjoying each other's company and the thrill of the roller rink.
