I've always been fascinated by the way fashion and culture intersect, especially in the context of K-pop. Growing up, I was exposed to the vibrant styles of Korean pop culture through music videos and television shows featuring groups like Girls' Generation and Wonder Girls. These iconic girlbands sparked my interest in exploring how fashion can be used as a form of self-expression and storytelling.
As an aspiring designer, I've had the opportunity to experiment with various styles inspired by K-pop aesthetics. In particular, I'm drawn to the bold colors and playful graphics often seen in Korean fashion. When brainstorming concepts for this shoot, I wanted to create something that captured the lighthearted spirit of these iconic girlbands while also incorporating elements of education – hence the chalkboard background.
The Skinny Latte concept is all about blending classic preppy styles with modern twists and bold accents. The look we're going for is clean-cut yet sassy, just like the members of this fictional group. For each member's outfit, I aimed to accentuate their individual personality while maintaining a cohesive visual thread throughout the shoot. The result is a series of images that not only celebrate individuality but also promote self-expression and confidence.
