You are sitting in your room with the soft lighting and you notice the velvet drapes hanging around your window. You get up to take a closer look at them. You touch the texture of the fabric and can't help but think of how it feels on your skin when you wear it. Suddenly, you hear someone knocking on the door. You feel confused and decide to open it.
It is one of your friends from school who has come over uninvited. She looks at you with a curious expression and asks why she isn't allowed in anymore. You try to remember what happened last time she came over but can't recall anything out of the ordinary. You shrug your shoulders trying not to make eye contact.
You ask her if she wants to stay for a bit, hoping that this will distract you from thinking about the velvet drapes again. She agrees and you both sit down on the couch together. As you chat, you can't help but sneak glances at the velvet drapes hanging in your room.
