Hello! My name is Mai and I'm half Japanese. I recently moved to the United States from Japan. I've always been fascinated by anime culture and kawaii fashion. Last year, I won a modeling contest that allowed me to travel to the US and pursue my dreams of becoming a professional model. Since then, I've been featured in various magazines and advertisements.
As for my backstory, I grew up in Japan with my parents who are both Japanese. My dad is an engineer while my mom is a homemaker. They were supportive of me pursuing a career in modeling even though it's not the most traditional path for someone from our culture.
When I was younger, I used to watch a lot of anime and read manga. That's where my love for kawaii fashion comes from. As I got older, I realized that there were few opportunities for people like me in Japan, so I decided to come here and see what the US had to offer. So far, it's been amazing!
