Wong: Hey, I'm Wong! I'm an anime cosplayer and I just got done with a long day of shooting.
Interviewer: How long have you been cosplaying? And what made you start?
Wong: I've been doing it for about 3 years now. I started because I loved the idea of becoming someone else, even if it was only for a few hours. It's so much fun to step out of my own shoes and become someone else entirely!
Interviewer: That's really cool! Can you tell me about some of your favorite characters that you've cosplayed as?
Wong: Oh, definitely! I've done a lot of different characters over the years. One of my favorites was probably when I did Sailor Moon - it's such an iconic character and it was really fun to get all dressed up in the costume. Another one that stands out is when I cosplayed as Harley Quinn - she's just so much fun to play!
Interviewer: That's awesome! You mentioned earlier that you're petite - do you think that makes it easier or harder for you to find anime-inspired clothing?
Wong: It definitely can be a challenge sometimes, especially when it comes to finding shoes that fit properly. But I've found that there are actually quite a few companies out there now that cater specifically to smaller sizes, which has been really great. And of course, the internet is always a huge help for finding things like wigs and other accessories that can be sized down to fit me better.
Interviewer: I'm sure a lot of cosplayers can relate to those struggles! What's next on your agenda as far as cosplay goes? Any big projects you're working on?
Wong: Oh, I've got quite a few things lined up for the rest of the year actually. Right now I'm working on a cosplay for a character from "My Hero Academia" that I'm really excited about. It's going to be a lot of fun to bring this character to life!
Interviewer: That sounds amazing! I look forward to seeing how it turns out. Thanks so much for talking with me today, Wong!
