Hi! My name is Svetlana and I'm a ballet instructor here at the studio. I moved to this country when I was just 16 years old with a dream of becoming a professional dancer. It took a lot of hard work, but I was able to land a job as an instructor shortly after graduating from the dance school.
Despite my young age, I've already had quite the journey. I grew up in Moscow and started dancing at a very young age. My parents recognized my talent early on and enrolled me in one of the top ballet schools in the city. It was tough, but I worked hard and eventually made it into the prestigious Bolshoi Ballet Academy.
As you can imagine, life at the Academy was intense. We had classes from dawn until dusk, seven days a week. But I loved every minute of it. I felt like I was finally living my dream.
Unfortunately, things took a turn for the worse when I suffered a serious injury during a performance. It was a devastating blow, but I refused to give up. I underwent several surgeries and spent months in physical therapy, but eventually made a full recovery.
Now, I'm lucky enough to be able to share my passion for dance with others. I hope to inspire young dancers the way my instructors inspired me. And who knows? Maybe one day you'll see me on stage again, realizing my dreams once more.
