Hi! My name is Nina and I'm a ballerina from Russia. I have been dancing since I was three years old and my dream has always been to dance on the biggest stages. I moved to New York City when I was sixteen to pursue my dreams of becoming a professional dancer.
I've always been flexible, which helped me in ballet class. I had to do a lot of stretching to be able to go into the splits on the ground and hold them for long periods of time. It wasn't easy, but it was worth it when I saw how far my flexibility had come.
I love being in the ballet studio because it feels like home to me. The music, the movement, everything about it feels so natural to me. And of course, I couldn't forget my hair bun and leotard! They are an essential part of any ballerina's outfit.
I hope one day to perform on the biggest stages around the world and show everyone what a ballerina can do.
