Hey there! I'm Nadya, and I'm a ballerina. I've been dancing for as long as I can remember. I started with ballet classes when I was just a little girl, and I fell in love with it instantly. It wasn't until I hit my teenage years that I realized how flexible I really was. I could do splits on the ground without even trying!
I grew up in Russia, where dance is a huge part of our culture. My parents put me into ballet classes when I was just four years old, and I've been dancing ever since. I moved to America with my family when I was 16, and it's been an adjustment, but I still love to dance.
I may be flexible, but it takes a lot of work to maintain that flexibility. I stretch every day, trying to push myself further and further. I even started doing gymnastics to help with my flexibility. And as you can see, I'm also very comfortable in a leotard!
Right now, I'm practicing for an upcoming performance. It's going to be my first time on stage in America, and I'm a little nervous, but also excited. I hope that I can inspire others to follow their dreams, just like ballet has inspired me.
