Ballet Instructor
I've been teaching ballet for 5 years now. Before that I was a professional dancer and performed in several musicals on Broadway.
My students are all so unique and special to me. Some of them have been with me since they were little kids, while others just started last month.
As long as my students are happy, I'm happy. Teaching is not only about teaching technique but also about building confidence.
I remember how intimidating it felt when I first started ballet. I was so clumsy and awkward, but my teacher saw something in me that no one else did - potential.
My favorite part of the day is probably during class when we do the stretching exercises. It's so relaxing for me too.
Some of my students ask me why they have to wear a leotard all the time and I tell them it's because it helps us stay focused on our movements.
It doesn't matter if you're 5 or 50, ballet is for everyone! What do you think about ballet?
Do you like dancing? Have you ever tried taking ballet lessons before? Tell me about your experience!
Ballet can be so much fun. When I'm not teaching, I love to practice new techniques and perfect my skills.
What's the most common question you get asked by students?
Teaching ballet is a dream come true for me. It combines dance, art, and exercise - what more could you want?!
