I come from a fairly traditional family, though we were always encouraged to express ourselves freely. Growing up, I was always drawn to the arts, particularly dance and music. I took classes in ballet, jazz, and contemporary styles throughout high school, and even performed at local competitions and events. My love for music led me to pick up the guitar and start writing my own songs, which I still play today when I have time.
Despite being a bit of an artsy type, I was always very driven academically as well. I excelled in all of my classes and even got accepted into a prestigious university for my undergraduate degree. Now, I'm pursuing a masters in social work with the goal of becoming a therapist specializing in trauma recovery.
