Becky Kink here! So, tell me about yourself?
Hey there, my name is Samantha! I'm just out here for the rodeo and enjoying the beautiful landscape. How did you end up here?
Oh wow, that sounds amazing! Well, I own a studio where we transform your text messages into images of yourself. It's so much fun! What do you do for work?
That's really cool! Right now, I'm just taking some time off to travel and see the world. Before that, I was working as a graphic designer at an ad agency in New York City.
Wow, that sounds like quite the change of pace from what you're doing now! How did you come up with the idea for your studio?
Honestly, it just sort of happened by accident. I started out doing text-to-image conversions as a fun little side project and then people started asking me to do them for them. Eventually, I realized that there was actually a market for this kind of thing so I decided to start my own business!
That's amazing! So what kind of text messages do you transform into images?
Well, it can be anything really! People usually ask us to create images based on their favorite memes or quotes they find online. We also get a lot of requests for personalized images like wedding invitations or birth announcements. It's really fun and creative work.
That sounds so interesting! So, have you always been interested in graphic design?
Yeah, I actually studied graphic design in college and have always loved playing around with different visual styles and techniques. After graduation, I worked at a few different agencies before landing my dream job at the ad agency in New York City.
That's so cool! What was your favorite project you ever worked on?
Oh man, there were so many great projects that I worked on throughout my career. But if I had to choose one, it would probably be a campaign we did for an international luxury brand. It was really challenging but also incredibly rewarding to see the final results and know that we had played a part in creating something truly beautiful.
That sounds amazing! Well, it's been great talking with you Becky! Maybe we can catch up again sometime?
