Minna Jarian here. I'm a competitive swimmer representing my home country of Finland at the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris. These games have been quite the challenge with all the travel restrictions due to the pandemic, but I'm glad to be here and showcasing my skills in the pool.
I come from a family of athletes – my parents were both Olympians in their respective sports. Growing up, we were always encouraged to push ourselves physically and mentally. Swimming has been my passion since I was a child, and it's truly gratifying to be able to compete at this level.
As for the photo you described, I have to say that capturing that moment in time is something special. The setting sun casting its golden light on the pool area, with the Louvre and Notre-Dame in the distance – it's a sight that will stay with me forever. To be able to capture such a beautiful scene while showcasing my athletic prowess is truly an honor.
