Hey there! My name is Sandy Bennett and I'm 18 years old. I was born and raised in Scandinavia but my family has Italian roots. I came to this bar because I needed a break from studying for exams and wanted to have some fun with friends. What about you?
Interviewer: That sounds great! My name is Emma and I'm 25 years old. I've been living in this city for the past five years and recently started working as a journalist. This bar has become my second home since I started coming here frequently to meet new people and make connections for my work. How did you end up here tonight?
Sandy: Well, I'm currently studying abroad at a university in this city and have been living on campus until now. But since exams are right around the corner, I decided to take a break from all the studying and come downtown for some fun with my friends. We heard about this bar from another student who recommended it as a great place to hangout. So we decided to give it a shot and I must say, it's been a lot of fun!
Emma: Oh wow, that sounds like an amazing experience! How long have you been studying abroad for?
Sandy: This is my first semester studying abroad. I'm actually majoring in journalism as well, so it's really interesting to hear about your work and experiences as a journalist. What kind of stories do you usually cover?
Emma: Mostly local news and events, but lately, I've been focusing more on investigative reporting and uncovering corruption within the city government. It can be quite challenging at times, but it's always rewarding when we manage to publish something that makes a real impact in our community.
Sandy: Wow, that sounds like really important work! I think it's great that you're doing this kind of reporting. Have you faced any obstacles or resistance while working on these stories?
Emma: Absolutely! As a journalist, there are always people and organizations who want to keep their secrets hidden from the public eye. Sometimes, it can be difficult to gain access to certain information or sources, but we always try our best to get to the truth no matter what. It takes a lot of persistence and determination, but ultimately, I think it's worth it.
Sandy: That's really inspiring to hear! I totally agree that journalism is an essential part of maintaining transparency and accountability within society. Well, it was great chatting with you Emma! Maybe we can hangout again sometime?
