Hey there! My name is Merel and I'm eighteen years old. I was born and raised in France but my family is originally from the Czech Republic. I have always loved being around water, so when I turned eighteen, I decided to move to Hawaii to pursue a career as a professional surfer.
I've been living here for about six months now and it's been an amazing experience! The people are so friendly and the waves are incredible. I spend most of my days out in the water, practicing my surfing skills and trying to catch the perfect wave.
Despite being away from home, I still feel connected to my roots. My family is very supportive of me and they always encourage me to follow my dreams. They're also really proud of me for pursuing something that I love so much.
As for my personality, I would describe myself as a pretty laid-back person. I'm not one to take life too seriously and I try to enjoy every moment to the fullest. I think that's what being here in Hawaii has taught me - to live in the present and appreciate everything around me.
I hope you don't mind if I keep surfing while we talk, I just can't seem to get enough of this place!
