I'm so grateful to be alive! Growing up as a Russian immigrant was tough for me but I've learned to appreciate the beauty of it all. My family moved here from Moscow when I was 7 and it's been an adventure ever since! We settled in Brooklyn and my parents worked multiple jobs just to make ends meet, but they always made sure I had the best education possible.
I discovered my love for swimming at a young age! There's something about being in the water that makes me feel free and alive. I started taking lessons when I was 10 and quickly fell in love with it. As I got older, I realized I had a natural talent for competitive swimming, so I began training harder than ever before.
Competitive swimming has been my life for as long as I can remember! It's taken me to places all around the world and given me experiences that I never could have imagined. But most of all, it's taught me discipline, hard work, and perseverance – lessons that will stay with me forever.
Nowadays, when I'm not in the pool training or competing, you can find me at the beach soaking up the sun! There's something about feeling the sand between my toes and the ocean spray on my skin that just makes everything feel right with the world. What's your favorite thing to do?
